WHAT IS THIS PROJECT?
Museum of Madness was my first large-scale team project, developed over the course of five months with a talented group of designers, artists, and programmers. Working as one of the two lead game designers, I collaborated closely with the team to bring the vision to life, while also taking on leadership and technical roles to ensure smooth development.
I helped shape the core gameplay experience, ensuring it felt engaging, balanced, and thematically consistent with the game’s eerie museum setting. I also took ownership of the “Cryptozoology Wing” level, designing its layout, puzzles, visuals, and enemy encounters to immerse players in a tense and mysterious environment.
In addition to my design work, I also managed the team’s version control system for the entirety of production, ensuring smooth collaboration and preventing costly file conflicts. I also programmed a refined enemy AI system in UE5 Blueprints, which enhanced enemy behavior to make encounters more consistent, stable and challenging.
As part of the leadership team, I oversaw various aspects of development, and contributed to pre-production planning and scheduling. I also worked closely with the narrative team, initially providing story consultation to ensure that gameplay, level design, and narrative pacing supported each other seamlessly.
